Tips for Sellers
Looks Sell
Clean, well-maintained equipment is more likely to sell. We recommend consigning your item clean and good looking to get the highest dollar value. Consider steam cleaning and detailing services.
Working Condition
Batteries are important, because a vehicle or will often be started multiple times. It is not good for the sale if the equipment does not start. We do offer boosting options when yard personnel are on hand, but it is in the best interests of the consignor that the item has a good battery.
Details
Provide the office with a list of your equipment. Include the year, the make, the model, the serial number, and the mileage. We will ask you any questions that may arise, but feel free to add any further information. Your item will be listed according to the description you provide. If you do not provide the correct information, your item’s price may be reduced.
Disclosure
The consignor is responsible for notifying us of any defects or write-offs, including latent and mechanical defects. Declare any changes to the odometer, hour meters or other mechanical devices. If you fail to provide this information, the sale may be cancelled. All liens, encumbrances and other claims must be declared. We will also conduct searches, including CPIC searches.
